Pre-School Room

The Pre-school room we aim to provide learning experiences to help children progress. Our curriculum planning aims to provide the opportunity to encounter new experiences and seek to understand them in order to extend their skills and develop their confidence and build on what they already know.

The children will be working towards the early learning goals of the Foundation Stage.

At present the Pre-school room can care for a maximum of 12 children aged 3 years (approx ) up to their 5th birthday.

In our Nursery we operate a Keyperson system, whereby one member of staff is responsible for providing individual attention to both the child and the parent.
Prospective applicants who wish to visit the Nursery should contact the Nursery Manager

The Nursery staff advise and encourage parents to spend some time settling their child into the Nursery. It is an opportunity for parents to meet and get to know the staff as well as forming a trusting relationship with the Key person. When the child first comes to the Nursery, the Key person will take particular responsibility for the settling-in period and be present when the parent and child arrive. The child should have the experience of seeing their parent and Key person in a friendly and confident relationship. The Key person will find the time invaluable for gathering information about the child’s routine, sleep pattern, feeding etc. The duration and frequency of visits will be agreed between the parents and the Key person.
